The Ramara Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit association for businesses in and around our township. Our mandate is to provide both tangible and intangible benefits to our members in particular, and our community as a whole. Our mission is to “Promote Eastern Lake Country Business through the enhancement of economic and community prosperity”.

Business Development and Promotion
Ramara Chamber of Commerce offers many ways to help you develop and promote your business through our information kiosk, membership directory, networking opportunities and our website.

Tourism Information Kiosk
Our information Centre is located at the southeast entrance to the township and was the Chamber’s millennium gift to the community. The hand-hewn log cabin provides seasonal space for businesses in Lake Country and the surrounding area to display literature, business cards and other promotional materials.

Membership Roster
As a member, your business is listed in our annual roster, which is distributed throughout Lake Country and promoted through marketing initiatives. The roster also provides opportunities to purchase advertising and promotional space.

Networking Opportunities
Our Ramara Chamber of Commerce offers several opportunities throughout the year to take part in business and social networking events. Through our collaborations with the Orillia District and the Oro-Medonte Chambers, we jointly offer training, information seminars, and tradeshow initiatives to support and promote member businesses.

As a member of the Ramara Chamber of Commerce, you will receive a complimentary listing and web page (coming soon) highlighting your business and services. In addition, links can be made to your website and advertising space can be purchased.

 With a Council representative on its Board of Directors, the Chamber has fostered open communication and established a healthy partnership with the Township. By working together on trade shows and community projects, we promote economic and community growth.

Lake Country
As the Chamber promoting Eastern Lake Country, representatives from the Ramara Chamber of Commerce sit on the Board of Directors of this prestigious marketing consortium for our area. This in turn, links us to the Provincial initiatives that are in place to market Ontario worldwide.

Ontario Chamber of Commerce
In addition to our local and regional links, we benefit from our membership in the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. Under their umbrella, chambers are represented at the provincial level with regard to legislative changes in areas such as: Labour Relations, Employment Standards Act, and Occupational Health and Safety etc.
