Career Connection: Employment services help residents, youth, newcomers, career changers and job seekers access job-search support, training pathways, resume help, interview preparation and connections to local employers. In March 2026, Canada had a job vacancy rate of 2.8%, showing continued demand for workers and the importance of helping people connect with available opportunities.

Employer & Workforce Support: Local employment partners help businesses promote openings, meet candidates, understand workforce needs and strengthen hiring pipelines. With Ontario’s job vacancies declining by 11.1% in 2025 and the unemployment-to-job-vacancy ratio rising, practical employment support helps both employers and job seekers navigate a changing labour market.

Shared Opportunity: The Ramara Chamber of Commerce’s annual Job Fair, held in cooperation with the Chippewas of Rama First Nation Economic Development Department, brings businesses, organizations and job seekers together in one accessible community space. This partnership strengthens local hiring, supports economic inclusion and builds stronger connections between Ramara, Rama First Nation and the broader regional workforce.
