Sports & Recreation

Ramara's Recreation Playbook

Ramara’s sports and recreation category turns play, movement and outdoor adventure into business activity — supporting bookings, memberships, registrations, rentals, visitor traffic and support-local spending.

Active Living & Local Participation: Sports clubs, recreation providers, marinas, outdoor spaces and activity-based businesses help residents and visitors stay active while creating customer traffic. From youth sport and team play to boating, golf, fitness, leisure and outdoor fun, recreation drives registrations, bookings, memberships, rentals, lessons, and repeat participation.

Visitor Energy & Community Flow: Recreation gives people reasons to get out, gather, explore and stay longer. With Mara Provincial Park and McRae Point Provincial Park in Ramara, plus lakes, trails, fields, marinas and activity-based destinations, outdoor experiences help draw visitors who eat, shop, fuel up, book services and support nearby businesses.

The Ramara Experience in Motion: Sports and recreation bring Ramara’s lakes, parks, fields, facilities and outdoor lifestyle into the local economy. In a county that welcomes about 9 million visitors a year and generates about $1 billion in annual visitor spending, active days become spending days — creating reasons to return, recommend, register, book and keep more dollars moving through Ramara.
